RM Architects has partnered with Agami Realty to create Agami Legends, a low-density luxury residential complex in Mumbai’s Bandra, adjacent to the Bandra-Kurla Complex. Positioned directly across from the MIG Cricket Club grounds, the development’s design integrates views, orientation, and façade details that respond directly to its sporting context.
The architectural vision merges modern elements with restrained classical influences, particularly through the use of arches—a deliberate reference to traditional sporting pavilions. Residences are arranged to capture maximum natural light and outdoor access, with select residences featuring six-foot-wide decks with views across the cricket grounds and towards Mahim Bay. Three-bedroom homes face the adjoining roads, a prominent junction and the broader cityscape.
Beyond visual appeal, RM Architects has structured the project to enhance the resident experience at every stage, from arrival to private living spaces. The design emphasizes seamless movement, intuitive floor plans, and an atmosphere of exclusivity even before entering individual homes. Founder Rahul Mehta stated that true luxury in this context extends beyond the physical space itself. “The sequence of the project has been detailed to establish a sense of calm and exclusivity before residents enter the private areas of the development,” he explained.
Agami Realty’s Prashant Khandelwal, Director & CEO, framed the development as a direct response to growing demand for spacious, contemporary residences in Bandra. The collaboration produced a design that harmonizes architectural distinctiveness with practicality and enduring comfort while capitalizing on the site’s proximity to the cricket club. “The building’s relationship with the MIG Cricket Club grounds gives it a unique character that is inseparable from its location,” Khandelwal observed.
The development is planned around an arrival experience inspired by boutique hotels, featuring landscaped entrance porch, a water feature and an exclusive lobby with reception, concierge and deli services. The low-density configuration is designed to strengthen privacy, with four residences served by four lifts across two lobbies. Separate circulation routes for residents, service personnel and deliveries are intended to improve usability, operational efficiency, security and privacy.
Inside each unit, distinct zones separate living, guest, family, and service areas. Adaptable layouts, minimal internal supports, and high ceilings, combined with 11-foot floor-to-floor heights, create flexible interiors. The development covers slightly more than half an acre, integrating redevelopment for existing members alongside a new sales component. Separate structural cores for each segment address height restrictions, parking requirements, and circulation needs, while well-lit lobbies and integrated ramps optimize spatial efficiency.
At Agami Legends, the architectural response takes cues from the neighbourhood’s sporting character without reproducing it literally. The resulting design combines pavilion-inspired architecture, differentiated circulation, flexible residential layouts and a considered relationship with the outdoors, with the aim of making the building’s character evident in residents’ everyday experience.
